About Niva
I’ve spent the last decade teaching guitar with a passion for helping students discover both the technical skill and personal expression that make music meaningful. My own journey began with the thrill of learning my first chords, and over the years it grew into a deep appreciation for the emotional and creative power of the instrument. Teaching allows me to share that excitement, guiding students of all ages and backgrounds through their musical development with patience, kindness, and dedication. My teaching style is warm, clear, and adaptable. I focus on understanding each student’s personality, musical taste, and goals so lessons feel personal and engaging. I combine structured exercises with creative exploration, ensuring that students progress steadily while enjoying the freedom to express themselves. Whether working on fingerstyle patterns, rhythmic precision, or improvisation, I aim to create a space where learners feel supported, motivated, and capable of achieving their long-term ambitions. Outside of teaching, I continue practicing, performing, composing, and studying new methods to expand my knowledge. I enjoy exploring different genres and techniques, which allows me to bring diverse skills into my lessons. Watching students grow—sometimes from hesitant beginners to expressive, confident musicians—is incredibly rewarding. Helping them develop not only technical proficiency but also a lifelong love of music is what makes teaching guitar such a meaningful and inspiring part of my life.

My guitar lessons focus on building a strong foundation while encouraging creativity and personal expression. Students learn technique, rhythm, chords, scales, and musical interpretation in a supportive and motivating environment. Each lesson includes demonstrations, guided practice, and clear step-by-step progression, helping students gain confidence as they develop consistency and skill. Whether a student is a complete beginner or already familiar with the instrument, the structure of lessons ensures continual improvement while keeping the learning process enjoyable and musically inspiring.
Beginners start with posture, hand position, strumming patterns, basic chords, and simple songs to build comfort and coordination. Intermediate students dive into barre chords, fingerstyle technique, scales, rhythm variations, and genre-specific skills. Advanced players explore improvisation, expressive phrasing, complex repertoire, performance preparation, and recording techniques. Assignments include chord drills, rhythm practice, listening tasks, and optional performance recordings to reinforce progress. Lessons always balance technical discipline with musical fun.
Over time, students develop strong technique, greater musical awareness, and a genuine sense of artistic identity. Many begin writing their own music, performing publicly, or collaborating with others. They learn how to express emotion through tone, dynamics, and interpretation. Students often describe a growing sense of confidence and focus—not just musically, but in everyday life. My goal is to help each learner feel empowered, creative, and capable of reaching any musical aspiration with patience, clarity, and joyful exploration.
