About Kathleen
Teaching music happens because playing guitar for a living taught me that simple parts often hold the most power. Working as a Nashville session player showed me exactly what makes a song stick.
Absolute beginners find my approach clear and honest. Teens often appreciate that I skip the fluff during our time together. Adults enjoy the direct focus on the instrument itself.
My 13 years of experience influence how I handle rhythm and soloing. Music theory becomes practical rather than abstract in this setting. Barre chords and power chords are just tools for better songs. Improvisation is a skill we build one step at a time.
