About Connor

As a Master’s graduate specializing in music theory, composition, and guitar, I am dedicated to delivering a deeply personalized, rigorous, and supportive instructional experience. My pedagogical approach bridges the gap between creative expression and technical mastery, ensuring that every lesson is directly tailored to the individual goals, learning styles, and musical aspirations of the student.
To foster continuous growth and lasting confidence, my curriculum is built upon three foundational pillars:
Targeted Technique: We focus on developing physical ease, precision, and efficiency on the instrument. By identifying and correcting technical habits, students build the foundational dexterity required to play comfortably across various genres.
Relevant Context: Theory and composition should never feel abstract. I integrate music theory and compositional concepts directly into the student's preferred repertoire, allowing them to understand the "why" behind the music they love to play.
Constructive Progress: Lessons center on actionable feedback, achievable milestones, and structured improvement. This keeps students motivated, focused, and actively tracking their own development over time.
Ultimately, my objective is to cultivate an engaging and empowering learning environment. By equipping students with the tools to analyze, compose, and perform with precision, I help them build unshakeable confidence, unlock their full creative potential, and achieve long-term artistic independence.

About the lesson

My instructional methodology centers on holistic student development, ensuring that technical proficiency and theoretical comprehension evolve concurrently. By conducting targeted diagnostic assessments during each session, instruction is dynamically tailored to reinforce individual strengths while systematically addressing technical and theoretical areas for growth.
The curriculum integrates foundational music theory, targeted technical exercises, and rigorous repertoire development. Every piece of music is examined through an in-depth structural and theoretical analysis, cultivating analytical listening and a profound understanding of composition. In addition to fostering versatile, independent musicianship, I provide structured preparation for Rockschool grade examinations, offering students a clear framework for academic and technical validation.
