About Ben

With 13 years of experience as a guitar tutor, I have dedicated myself to helping students of all ages master guitar technique and develop a deep understanding of music theory. My lessons focus on building strong fundamentals while encouraging creativity, with special attention to fingerstyle and improvisation. Whether students are just starting or looking to refine their skills, my tailored approach ensures each student progresses at their own pace and reaches their full potential on the guitar.

Teaching guitar has always been a passion of mine because it allows me to share the joy of music with others. I love working with students to uncover their unique musical voice, guiding them through exercises that enhance their technique and artistic expression. My specialization in fingerstyle and improvisation allows me to provide a diverse learning experience, helping students not only play songs but also create their own music and improvise with confidence.

Outside of teaching, music remains a central part of my life. I enjoy composing original pieces, drawing inspiration from various genres and personal experiences. In addition to music, I love spending time in nature, often hiking and capturing landscapes through photography. These hobbies bring me peace and often inspire the music I write and teach, adding a layer of creativity and depth to my lessons.

With 13 years of experience as a guitar tutor, my lessons are designed to provide a well-rounded and engaging learning experience for students of all ages. I focus on mastering guitar techniques and deepening understanding of music theory, ensuring that each student builds a strong foundation. My lessons are tailored to meet individual needs, whether you’re a beginner learning chords or an advanced player looking to refine fingerstyle or improvisation skills. Every lesson is designed to help students progress at their own pace while challenging them to unlock their full potential.

I believe that guitar playing should be a creative and personal journey. That’s why I incorporate improvisation and fingerstyle into my lessons, allowing students to explore their own musical ideas and express themselves in new ways. We work on exercises that not only enhance technical proficiency but also encourage creativity and spontaneity in playing. I aim to provide a balance between structured practice and free exploration, helping students develop their own unique sound.

My lessons are designed to be both fun and educational. Whether students are preparing for a performance, working on songwriting, or simply playing for enjoyment, I create a supportive environment where they can grow as musicians. I focus on fostering a love for the guitar while building skills that last a lifetime, ensuring that each student leaves with greater confidence and a deeper connection to their instrument.
