About Ben
With 13 years of experience in guitar instruction, I offer specialized lessons designed to help students excel in various styles, including fingerstyle, jazz, and chord progressions. My teaching approach is personalized to meet the needs of school students, focusing on refining their technique and enhancing their musicality. Each lesson is tailored to address individual strengths and areas for improvement, providing a supportive environment where students can develop their skills and build confidence.
In my lessons, I emphasize both technical proficiency and creative expression. I work closely with students to develop their unique style and musical voice, integrating exercises and repertoire that align with their interests and goals. My aim is to help students not only master the fundamentals of guitar playing but also to inspire a lifelong passion for music. By combining technical training with artistic exploration, I strive to create a well-rounded musical experience.
Beyond teaching, I am deeply engaged in the music community. I enjoy exploring a wide range of musical genres, attending live performances, and participating in jam sessions. These activities keep me connected to current trends and new techniques, enriching my own playing and teaching. Additionally, I have a keen interest in photography and often spend time capturing landscapes and performances. These hobbies not only inspire my creativity but also enhance my ability to provide dynamic and engaging lessons for my students.

By focusing on these specialized areas, I aim to provide a comprehensive learning experience that develops both technical skills and artistic expression.
In each lesson, I integrate targeted exercises and repertoire that address individual strengths and areas for improvement. My teaching philosophy emphasizes a balance between technical proficiency and creative exploration, helping students to not only perfect their technique but also to discover their unique musical voice. I strive to create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel encouraged to experiment and grow as musicians.
Outside of teaching, I am passionate about exploring diverse musical styles and staying updated with current trends in guitar playing. I regularly attend live performances and participate in music workshops, which enrich my understanding of different genres and techniques. Additionally, I enjoy photography and often capture moments from concerts and nature, which fuels my creativity and enhances my teaching. These interests keep me inspired and help me bring a fresh perspective to my lessons.
