About Wren
I am a guitar teacher with over 11 years of experience, holding a Diploma of Music with a Guitar Specialization. I have coached students for live performances, recording sessions, auditions, and music school entry. My teaching style is encouraging, focused, and tailored to each learner’s goals. I emphasize building stage presence, helping students perform with confidence and poise. Creative freedom is central to my lessons, allowing students to explore their own musical voice. I guide learners in technical skills, harmony, and rhythm while keeping lessons engaging and practical. Together, we work on repertoire, improvisation, and expressive dynamics to bring music to life. I support students in preparing for auditions with precision and professionalism. Each lesson is structured yet flexible, ensuring steady progress while nurturing creativity. Lessons cover various styles, including classical, jazz, electric, bass, and acoustic. I integrate songwriting and lyric accompaniment to help students express themselves through music. Harmony exploration and chord progressions are taught in a fun, interactive way. I emphasize expressive dynamics, enabling students to play with feeling and musicality. Fingerstyle techniques and rhythm exercises are tailored to each learner’s pace. I provide step-by-step guidance while encouraging experimentation and creativity. Lessons are designed to suit late starters or those returning to the guitar, ensuring steady progress. I focus on building technical skills alongside musical understanding, making learning enjoyable. Students are supported in developing their own style and musical voice. My goal is to cultivate both skill and passion for the guitar. Every session aims to inspire confidence, creativity, and a lasting love for music.
