About Finn
With over 9 years of experience as a Guitar tutor, I specialize in teaching Guitar to college students in a clear and engaging way. I believe learning music should be inspiring and enjoyable.
My teaching style is patient, flexible, and student-centered. I adapt lessons based on each student’s learning pace and musical interests. I focus on strong basics and consistent progress.
I use innovative teaching methods such as song-based practice, technique-focused exercises, and structured learning plans. Students improve chord accuracy, rhythm control, finger strength, and confidence by playing real songs. I also use backing tracks to improve timing.
Music theory is explained in a simple and useful way. I encourage creativity through improvisation and basic songwriting.
I strive to create a comfortable and motivating learning environment. My goal is to help college students enjoy playing the guitar and continue learning with confidence.

I teach Guitar with a focus on creativity, mentorship, critical thinking, and accountability. My goal is to help students enjoy music while building technical skills and discovering their unique style. Lessons include improvisation, composing original music, and exploring various genres.
Critical thinking is a key part of my approach. I guide students to understand chord progressions, scales, and rhythm patterns, helping them analyze songs, improvise, and tackle challenges independently.
Accountability ensures steady progress. I help students set clear goals, maintain consistent practice, and track their development. Constructive feedback and encouragement keep motivation high.
In addition to Guitar, I teach music theory, songwriting, ear training, and performance skills. Lessons are tailored to the student’s pace, level, and interests, creating a fun and productive learning experience.
My aim is to mentor students into confident, creative, and independent musicians who love playing, composing, and performing music.
