About Lee

I have over 13 years of experience teaching Guitar to college students, and my lessons focus on creativity, encouragement, and skill-building. I tailor each lesson to the student’s goals, level, and musical interests, helping them develop technique and confidence while enjoying music.

I teach chords, fingerstyle techniques, improvisation, and songs while breaking down music theory in simple, practical ways. I also use backing tracks, recordings, and interactive exercises to make practice engaging and fun.

Over the past 13 years, I’ve helped students master challenging pieces, perform confidently, and explore their own musical style. My goal is to make lessons productive, inspiring, and personalised for every student.

About the lesson

My guitar teaching methodology emphasises creativity, mentorship, critical thinking, and accountability. I encourage students to explore music freely, experiment with techniques, and compose original songs. Lessons are interactive, engaging, and practical, helping students develop both technical skill and artistic expression.

Mentorship is key in my approach. I provide guidance, constructive feedback, and support to help students overcome challenges and gain confidence. Critical thinking is emphasised through analysing songs, applying theory in practice, and solving problems independently.

Accountability ensures consistent progress. We set goals, track improvements, and celebrate achievements. Lessons combine exercises, practice, and creative projects to keep students motivated and engaged.

Along with guitar, I teach music theory, improvisation, and composition. My aim is to develop confident, creative, and independent musicians who enjoy learning and performing music.
