About Emily
Pacing remains deliberate to ensure that you retain every new technique introduced during our time together. I have 13 years of experience in this field.
My background at JMC Academy provides a structured framework for all levels of players. We go through chords, scales, and song structures with clarity.
You will find that my approach builds confidence through consistent practice and listening. I value the history behind the music we study.
I provide free chord charts and tab sheets shared after each class. These materials assist your practice at home. I genuinely enjoy watching students progress from simple melodies to complex songs. This journey reflects my own musical roots in Latin culture.

Growing up in Guadalajara, I spent my early days surrounded by the rhythmic pulse of Latin music before moving to Australia 13 years ago. My path involved earning a Diploma of Music from JMC Academy while performing traditional guitar and vocals across the country. I specialize in teaching kids, absolute beginners, returning learners, and busy working professionals.
My instruction covers blues progressions, complex barre chords, electric technique, reading tabs, and songwriting. Teaching is my primary focus.
I hold a deep respect for the instrument. It keeps me grounded. My home studio is always open for those who want to learn the authentic way.
