About Rhett
I’m a guitar teacher with over 12 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music Education focused on guitar. Teaching guitar is more than just playing notes to me — it’s about helping students express their emotions through music. I love guiding my students to find their own voice on the instrument while building strong technique and musical understanding. My lessons cover solid fretboard fluency, theory, and practical skills that make playing enjoyable and confident. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, I tailor my approach to your goals and style. I believe learning music should be a balance of discipline and creativity. I focus on developing emotional expression alongside technical skills, helping students connect deeply with the music they play. Together, we explore different genres and techniques to keep lessons fresh and inspiring. I’m patient and supportive, always encouraging you to push your limits at a comfortable pace. My goal is for every student to leave each lesson feeling motivated and excited to play. I’m passionate about music and sharing that passion in every session. My teaching method focuses on helping students enjoy music while building strong skills on the guitar. Whether you love classical pieces or want to explore jazz improvisation, I support you in reaching your highest potential. I believe music is not just about notes, but also about expressing emotions and finding personal joy.
In my lessons, we work on techniques that reduce stress and boost confidence through creative playing. I encourage students to use the guitar as a way to express feelings and tell stories. Together, we explore different styles and sounds to find what inspires you most.
I also include exercises that help improve focus and mindfulness, making music a tool for emotional balance. You will learn how to compose, improvise, and connect deeply with the music you play. My goal is to guide you in discovering your unique musical voice.
No matter your level, I tailor lessons to suit your pace and interests. Learning guitar with me means growing your skills and your love for music every step of the way.
