About Sage
I am a guitar tutor with over 8 years of experience and hold a Bachelor of Contemporary Music with a Guitar Major. My passion lies in composing and arranging music for both solo guitar and ensembles. I take a supportive, engaging, and goal-oriented approach to teaching, working with school students, hobbyists, and professional musicians alike. My lessons emphasize scales, modes, rhythm training, songwriting, and stage performance. Students develop both technical skill and artistic expression. I tailor each lesson to the student’s level and goals, whether they are Intermediate, Advanced, or preparing for professional work. I focus on building confidence, creativity, and musicality, helping learners navigate complex pieces and explore their own musical ideas. I provide practical guidance on improvisation, ensemble playing, and performance techniques to ensure students are stage-ready. My teaching integrates structured exercises with creative projects to make learning engaging and rewarding. Students learn how to balance technical mastery with expressive freedom, enabling them to play confidently in any setting. I encourage exploration of different genres, techniques, and compositional approaches, fostering well-rounded musicianship. Through consistent feedback and motivational challenges, learners achieve measurable progress and enjoy every step of the journey.
