About Isabella
I’m a guitar tutor with 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theory with a Guitar Specialization. My teaching blends technical guitar skills with essential knowledge in music production and audio engineering. I believe today’s guitarist should be both a performer and a creator, comfortable on stage and in the studio. That’s why my lessons cover home recording techniques, tone shaping, effects pedals, and the basics of mixing. We’ll explore how to build a great sound from your fingers to your final track. I teach students how to use pedals effectively, dial in amp tones, and understand microphone placement for recording acoustic and electric guitar. I’ve helped Early Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate students, as well as Professional and Expert session players looking to refine their production skills. Lessons are hands-on, personalized, and focused on real-world application. You’ll learn not just how to play better, but how to make your playing sound great in a recording. We work together to sharpen your ear, enhance your gear knowledge, and improve your creative workflow. Whether you're recording demos at home or building a professional portfolio, I’ll help you elevate your sound. Let’s capture your artistry and turn your guitar tone into something unforgettable.

My guitar teaching approach focuses on developing strong ear training skills to help you truly understand the music you hear. I believe that a trained ear is the key to becoming a confident and creative guitarist. That’s why I include exercises in melodic dictation, interval recognition, and transcribing songs by ear. These skills help you recognize patterns and melodies without needing sheet music.
We’ll work step by step, starting with simple intervals and building up to full melodies and chord progressions. I work especially well with The Campfire Strummer and The Blues Seeker—players who want to go beyond memorization and truly connect with what they play. I offer guided listening exercises, slow-down tools, and real-time feedback to help you grow. You’ll also learn to identify chord types and scales by sound.
This approach trains your ear while also improving your timing and musical feel. Whether you're playing solos, learning songs, or writing your own music, these skills will support you at every level. I adapt lessons to your pace and preferred style. You’ll soon be picking out melodies with ease and confidence. I’m here to help you become a more intuitive and expressive guitarist.
