About Ava
As a Guitar Tutor with over 4 years of experience, my passion for music, particularly in rock and blues genres, drives my teaching approach. Starting from my own journey as a guitarist, I've honed my skills through dedicated practice and performance. Teaching guitar allows me to share this passion with students of all ages, guiding them through the intricacies of technique, theory, and the art of improvisation.
Beyond guitar, I enjoy exploring diverse musical genres and expanding my repertoire. Whether it's attending concerts, discovering new artists, or jamming with fellow musicians, I find inspiration in the creativity and expression that music offers. This enthusiasm informs my teaching style, infusing lessons with creativity and encouraging students to explore their own musical interests and identities.
In addition to music, I'm an avid outdoor enthusiast, finding solace in hiking and exploring nature. These activities not only provide a balance to my musical pursuits but also fuel my creativity and mental clarity. I believe in fostering a well-rounded approach to life and learning, where the joy of music and the tranquility of nature complement each other, enriching both my teaching and personal experiences.

As a Guitar Tutor with over 4 years of experience, my lessons are crafted to inspire creativity and mastery in rock and blues guitar. Each session is personalized to cater to the unique goals and interests of my students, whether they are beginners or seasoned players looking to refine their skills. I emphasize a comprehensive approach that covers essential techniques, music theory, and the art of improvisation.
Technique forms a cornerstone of my teaching, ensuring students build a solid foundation in fretting, picking, and chord progressions. Through structured exercises and practical applications, I help students develop precision and control over their playing. Music theory is seamlessly integrated into lessons, enabling students to understand scales, chords, and song structures, which enhances their ability to learn and play music independently.
Improvisation is a key focus, fostering creativity and spontaneity in students' musical expression. I guide students through improvisational techniques, such as scales, phrasing, and rhythmic patterns, empowering them to confidently explore their own musical ideas. Each lesson is designed not only to impart technical skills but also to nurture a deep appreciation for the artistry and emotional depth of rock and blues guitar.
My goal as a tutor is to instill a lifelong love for playing guitar while equipping students with the tools and knowledge to continually grow and evolve as musicians. Through patient instruction and a passion for music, I strive to create a supportive environment where students can unlock their full potential and achieve their musical aspirations.
