About Arron

Music has always been my true passion, even though I hold a Computing degree from the University of Manchester. I am self-taught on multiple instruments, having started guitar at a young age, and have gradually expanded my repertoire. I currently teach at holiday camps and afterschool clubs in group settings as well as private tuition.

I also have tutoring experience across many other areas including computer science and mathematics, teaching students of all ages. I bring this experience into my music lessons, structuring sessions to suit each student’s pace, goals, and learning style.

I’m DBS certified and SEN-friendly, drawing on my own neurodivergent experience to create a supportive and flexible learning environment. I understand that every student learns differently, and I’m patient in finding the right approach for you.

About the lesson

I offer guitar and ukulele lessons for students of all ages from complete beginners to intermediate players. My lessons are designed to be engaging, structured, and tailored to each student’s goals, whether that’s learning chords, improving technique, or playing favourite songs.

Lessons are 1 to 1 or in small group sessions. I combine practical exercises, song-based learning, and theory, adapting my teaching style to suit each student’s learning pace and interests. For children, lessons include interactive activities and games to make learning fun while building confidence and musicality.

For adults, lessons focus on technique, repertoire, and personal musical goals, with clear progression and achievable milestones.

Typical lessons are 30–60 minutes, depending on the student’s age, experience, and objectives.

Arron is a great computing tutor. He explain theory concepts and doubts about them very clearly and includes key terminology in his answers. He is also really good for coding as he gives you hints rather than just telling you the answer straight away and makes coding questions that are very related to the GCSE specification.

Arron tutored my son in A-level Computer Science. My son had been struggling with the theory part of the course. Arron was able to teach the topics in a way that were more accessible to my son than in school and this really helped him build up a much better understanding of the subject.
