About Javier
I have over 20 years in education. Received my Bachelors degree in Human Development in 2006, my associates in 2002 Liberal Arts. Born and raised in Colombia. I speak, write and read spanish fluently. I have spoke at numerous conferences in spanish and have translated various documents, portfolios and advertisements for schools I was previously employed at.

1st. lesson is learning the alphabet. The spanish alphabet is very simple to learn with practice. Using the English and Spanish alphabet to distinguish the differences is important.
2nd. Conversation and annunciation. Once the alphabet is learned, we start saying or speaking small words. Such as, comida, casa, carro, arbol, etc. Along with pictures and references for the student to relate.
3rd. Emphasize practice, from watching spanish televison, radio to speaking as much as possible. Practice makes perfect.
4th. Holding conversations, learning different dialects and holding a conversation.
Not mentioned above is picture association, dialects based on your area to better understand. Writing the words down and re reading them once written.
