I am currently studying music performance and music education majors at UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. I have been teaching since four years ago. I have also participated in various music-related activities such as tutoring, participating in clubs, volunteering in local churches, etc.

For each new student, I would spend some time getting to know each other and figure out the goal of learning. Then, after getting to the actual playing, I would give suggestions and demonstrates for further improvement. Lastly, I will assign appropriate amount of exercises for students to take home and practice :)

Yidan is my third violin teacher and so far my favorite one! She helped me pass my audition for string orchestra in my high school in the past moth, and I was so happy about that! She is really patient and would spend time to work on every little detail that I feel less confident with. I will continue take lessons with her, and you should too if you really love playing violin!
I have taken Mandarin lessons with Yidan for three months now. She is definitely a caring person and my Mandarin skill has improved so much after taking lessons with her. I am looking forward to work more with her in the future. 100% recommend to learn Mandarin with Yidan if you are a beginner/intermediate level student like me!
