About Efraimia
Hi! I’m Efraimia, a native Greek speaker from Greece, now based in Edinburgh. Growing up, I was surrounded by education thanks to my mother, who is a teacher, and I’ve always been passionate about language and learning. While my primary focus is advancing my career in psychotherapy, teaching Greek allows me to stay connected with my roots and share my language and culture with others. I want to teach because I believe learning a new language can open doors to new experiences, and I love helping students discover the beauty and richness of Greek.

I focus on personalised lessons that combine grammar, vocabulary, and conversational practice. My approach is interactive and practical, incorporating real-life examples and cultural elements. Typically, lessons last 60 minutes, but I can adjust based on the student's needs. Greek is my native language, and while I’m relatively new to formal tutoring, I’ve grown up immersed in teaching through my mother, who is an experienced educator in Greece. This exposure has given me a strong foundation in educational techniques and a deep understanding of how to approach language learning. My lessons are ideal for beginners, including both adults and children.
