About Tobias

Learning a new language opens the door to a new world. At least this is what I believe. Travelling is one of my big passions. Anytime I put my foot on a new country, it makes such a difference whether I can speak the local language or not. This motivation helped me to learn english, french, italian, portuguese and spanish... I just love languages! :)
And I've always had a passion to share what I've learned and what excited me. I gave piano lessons and extra private lessons when I was at school. I was working as a tutor when I went to university to become a social scientist. Helping the younger students to get along with scientific writing standards, research methods and anything else they required, was always a lot of fun.
For the last seven years I've been teaching parents and teenagers about health and mental health issues when I was working in a medical practice.
I'm a friendly, optimistic and patient human being, that puts a lot of emphasis on respect and on fair communication. I have a lot of interests (politics, environment, travelling, etc.) and different hobbies (football, sailing, mountainbiking, F1, hiking, music, reading, etc.). I'm sure we can find something together, where we can talk about for hours ;)

About the lesson

1. Tailor-made online-lessons for absolute beginners (A0-1) up to students with profound knowledge (C1-2) to reach your goals: every lesson will be planned individually and according to your requests, interests and level

2. Professional and evaluated teaching methods based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and on my education to specialize in teaching german as a foreign language at the goethe-institute and the University of Jena in Germany („DLL Premium“)

3. It is always easier when it's fun: I can provide you with a huge variety of teaching methods, contents, videos, articles, comics and so on.

4. I'm always open to your suggestions: A video that you like, but you don't quite understand it? Your favorite german song, but you don't get the lyrics? Let's find out together

5. Evaluation of your progress: after each lesson we will celebrate what you have learned and make adjustments if needed
