About Katerina

I have a long teaching experience. I consider myself a facilitator, who helps the student use whatever works for them best, to learn a language. I believe language learning is beneficial for many reasons, it opens the mind to new cultures and ways of thinking. Language learning is not easy and I am committed to make it an enjoyable journey.

About the lesson

My teaching is based on the students' needs. By default, I focus on the way the language works, mainly building sentences gradually, than give lots of vocabulary to memorise, so that the student can quickly start using the language and be independent in their learning.
When I am not teaching for exams that require certain resources, I don't follow a certain book. After the lesson I send a handout with everything that was taught on the day. I also provide the student with a variety of learning resources. Videos, exercises, music, lyrics et.c.
I teach for an hour at a time. The frequency of the lesson is up to the student as long as we are consistent.
