About Isha
With a PhD in Economics and over four years of teaching experience, I am passionate about helping students understand the complexities of economic theory and its real-world applications. I break down difficult concepts into clear, understandable lessons and use current events to make economics relevant and engaging. I offer personalized support to students at every stage of their learning journey, from assignments to exam prep. My teaching focuses on problem-solving and critical thinking, encouraging students to apply what they’ve learned to analyze economic issues and make informed decisions. Having taught students at all levels, I adapt my approach to meet each individual’s needs and learning style. In the economics course, we start by exploring the fundamental concepts of microeconomics, such as supply and demand, market structures, and consumer behavior. Students learn how markets function and how factors like price, competition, and government intervention affect economic outcomes.
We then move on to macroeconomics, covering topics like national income, unemployment, inflation, and fiscal and monetary policy. Students gain an understanding of how governments and central banks manage economic activity and how global events impact national economies.
The course also introduces econometrics, teaching students how to apply statistical methods to economic data. Through real-world case studies, group discussions, and interactive exercises, students learn how to analyze economic trends, make informed decisions, and apply economic theory to real-world situations.
