About Huma
I am a dedicated and patient tutor with a PhD in English and Creative Writing, and many years of teaching experience at universities, colleges, and high schools. As both an educator and a published writer, I bring a strong understanding of literature, storytelling, and academic writing to my lessons. I’m passionate about helping students find clarity in their ideas, confidence in their voice, and skill in their writing. My goal is to make learning engaging, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs so they can succeed in both creative and academic work.

My teaching approach is student-centered and supportive. I combine clear instruction, guided practice, and constructive feedback to help students grow with confidence.
A typical lesson includes a brief check-in, a focused skill activity (such as analyzing a text or improving a paragraph), and time for hands-on writing or discussion. I emphasize process-based learning so students can break down assignments and strengthen their writing step by step.
What sets me apart is my background as both a published writer and an experienced educator. I hold a PhD in English and Creative Writing, and I’ve taught at universities, colleges, and high schools. My lessons are ideal for high-school and college students, adult learners, and anyone looking to improve their writing or analytical skills.
