About Leslie
I am a college-level Health Science instructor with over 20 years of experience in healthcare and education. I currently teach medical terminology and health science courses and specialize in helping students succeed in demanding healthcare programs.
My experience includes working with nursing, medical assisting, and allied health students who need support mastering anatomy, medical language, and clinical concepts. I understand that these subjects can feel overwhelming at first, which is why I focus on breaking complex material into clear, manageable pieces.

Hello! My name is Leslie, and I am a college-level Health Science educator with more than 20 years of clinical and teaching experience.
I specialize in helping students succeed in challenging healthcare courses, including Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, Medical Assisting, and Phlebotomy. Many students find these subjects overwhelming at first, but once you learn how to break down the language of medicine and understand how the body works, everything becomes much clearer.
My teaching approach focuses on simplifying complex concepts, building strong study strategies, and helping students gain confidence before exams. I work with students from nursing, medical assisting, allied health, and pre-health programs who need support understanding terminology, body systems, clinical procedures, and healthcare fundamentals.
During our sessions, we can work on:
• Breaking down medical terms (prefixes, roots, and suffixes)
• Anatomy and physiology concepts
• Exam preparation and study strategies
• Healthcare program coursework
• Medical assisting and phlebotomy fundamentals
