About Maia Deva
My path into yoga and Kundalini began through my own journey of healing and transformation. After overcoming Complex PTSD through dedicated practice, meditation, breathwork, and self-inquiry, I experienced firsthand the profound impact these teachings can have on the body, mind, and spirit.
Over the years, I have undertaken extended pilgrimages and spiritual studies across different cultures and traditions, deepening my understanding of yoga as a way of life rather than simply a physical practice. I have also worked with underserved communities around the world, supporting young people and families through education, well-being, and personal development initiatives.
These experiences have shaped my teaching style: compassionate, grounded, and deeply focused on the individual. My intention is to create a safe and empowering space where students can strengthen their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, cultivate inner resilience, and reconnect with their authentic selves.

My lessons offer more than yoga poses. I help students ages 11+ build strength, flexibility, confidence, emotional resilience, and a deeper connection to themselves. Each session is tailored to the individual, combining movement, breathwork, meditation, and mindfulness practices to support wellbeing, focus, stress reduction, and personal growth in everyday life.
