About Kanishia
Hello, my name is Kanishia Cass, I been working in the education field as a teacher assistant for 17 years. Half of that time I worked with children with learning disabilities in the education field. What inspires me is when I see children/young adults face light up when they understand their work. I am a very passionate person for education. Professionalism is always one of my top priorities. I will go above and beyond to help each and every student's educational needs. I have good listening and communication skills. I seriously believe no child is left behind. In my reading lessons I touch on 5 effective components which include phonemic, awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and especially comprehension. In order to be a great reader a student needs these skills to be a productive reader. I take time with my students in order to give them the best result possible. As far as mathematics lessons go, I need to identify the expectations of that student. I do that by assessing their weakness and will build off that. I will give them range of example problems that will not overwhelmed them. describe activities examples and prompt them to their standards. They will never go in a situation blind. The student will always have step by step guidance.
