About Mandi

I am a qualified online teacher with a teaching degree and 8 years experience. I wanted to continue working with students from all over the world as I did when I taught and lived in Bangkok. Appointed as a teacher at Australian International School of Bangkok as the Year 1 Homeroom teacher, last year was my 5th year of teaching in Bangkok and I have also taken on leadership roles such as the Year 1 Syndicate coordinator, Year 1 - Year 8 Literacy coordinator and coordinator of our Summer school program.
I completed a four year degree course at University of Stellenbosch in Further Educational Teaching.
Before exploring new parts of the world, I was appointed as the Maths, Language and Science educator at Worcester Primary since July 2011. The school is multicultural and I have benefited by the exposure and I am confident with my languages and handling a mixed cultured class.
As for my sport coaching abilities, I have experience in a variety of sports including Tennis and Netball. I enjoy most forms of sport and I also take delight in outdoor activities, particularly running and biking.
I am a driven, hard-working and team oriented individual. All of the teaching experience I have accumulated had culminated into a set of tools that equips me to effectively manage a classroom, navigate curriculum and execute lessons that are inclusive and engaging for all learners.
I enjoy new adventures and adapt to new circumstances with ease. I am a quick learner and like to learn new techniques and methods of teaching to improve the learning experience of the children.
I am a positive person with strong values. I am eager to widen my horizons and broaden my teaching skills.

About the lesson

Together we can focus on pronunciation techniques to reduce your accent and sound more native, learn how to properly use idioms, slang, and colloquial language as well as professional and academic English. Classes with me will also improve your confidence in speaking and in any situation.
