About Lucy
I am a qualified secondary school maths teacher with over 10 years of classroom experience. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting hundreds of young people, helping them develop not only their mathematical ability but also the confidence to believe in themselves.
I became a teacher because I genuinely enjoy helping young people succeed. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a student understand something they previously found difficult and watching their confidence grow as a result.
I know that maths can feel overwhelming for some students, especially when they have fallen behind or are preparing for important exams. My goal is to create a calm, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning at their own pace. I believe that every child is capable of making progress with the right support and guidance.
Whether a student is aiming to pass their GCSE, achieve a top grade, or prepare for the 11+ examination, I am passionate about helping them reach their full potential and enjoy learning along the way.

I understand that every child learns differently, which is why I tailor every lesson to suit each student’s individual needs and learning style. Whether your child is preparing for the 11+ entrance exam, working towards GCSE success, or simply needs extra support to build confidence, my aim is to make maths clear, engaging and enjoyable.
My online lessons provide a calm, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their understanding at their own pace. I focus not only on improving grades but also on helping students gain the confidence and problem-solving skills that will benefit them long after the lesson has finished.
Parents receive regular feedback on their child’s progress, and lessons are carefully planned to target areas that will have the greatest impact.
I believe that with the right support, encouragement and teaching, every student can succeed in maths.
