About Joya

I am currently a medical student, so I know exactly what it feels like going through the grueling application process, writing a solid personal statement, preparing for the UCAT and interviews all at the same time as studying for exams. It can feel daunting and overwhelming, but it is all worthwhile in the end when all the hardwork you put in the long run helps you get into medical school!

I want to support others who are going through this process, and to make it an easier transition process than what I had going through it myself. After all everyone should be able to give a proper shot at following their dreams!

About the lesson

I try to make our lessons as interactive and engaging as possible, to ensure that all my students are getting the most out of their lessons. With interviews it is crucial to become accustomed to the interview settings and layout, so I prioritize mock MMI stations, and refining interview responses.

With the UCAT, it can feel daunting due to the sheer number of different categories that are present. However my mastering key skills and techniques for each part I can assure you that you will be ready for the exam.

Before every lesson, a MS Teams link will be sent via Superprof/Whatsapp/e-mail, for the student to join when it is time for the lesson. I begin by sharing my screen, so that everything I draw/write can be seen on the student's screen too. My lessons aim to be very interactive, so I do ask students to keep their microphones switched on to answer any questions I may ask. At the end of every lesson, I ask them if they have any questions, or anything they want me to go over again. I also offer to send the notes we make in class to the student, so that they can look over them in their own time too.

Joya worked with my son for 3 years. She helped improve his grades in sciences and maths. With her help my son was able to better perform in his exams but also build his confidence in his abilities, I am very grateful for this.
