Hello, my name is Yan and I am from China. I have been a Mandarin teacher for over five years. Since gaining my teaching qualification I have taught Mandarin in England and Korea.

About Yan
As a mandarin teacher, I have been teaching in both Korea and England. Since my students is from different kinds of countries, I always tried my best to inspire them to learn Mandarin by first helping them fall in love with Chinese culture.
Through engaging workshops, field trip to Chinatown, and even public speaking competition, I created an environment in which students learn a foreign language within a larger cultural context.

For me, the most enjoyable about teaching is you get the chance to watch students learn and grow. Watching student growth, successes, and improvements is a rewarding process. It makes the day fun and keeps me smiling.
And a lot of this comes from keeping things lively by using fun worksheets, doing fun projects, or throwing in some fun teaching games with my students.
