About Alayna
My name is Alayna and I am originally from Arizona, which means that I am a big fan of the sun (apart from the summer sun) and being outdoors. I love to hike, read, take weekend trips, and explore.
I recently graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in History and Global Studies. During my time there, I had the opportunity to spend extended time in both Spain and Colombia, learning Spanish and partnering with nonprofit organizations.
I am somebody who is fueled by a drive to learn. I value education in high regard and constantly seek to learn more. I love showing people how important education is and how fun it can be with the right resources and people. I don't give up easily if things don't go as planned and I am constantly seeking new ways to improve my tactics and my lessons.

My lessons are for anybody looking to untangle the web of dates, names, and important events that are seemingly "need-to-know" information. I think that history is as fun as it is important and I love sharing my passion with those willing to learn.
Together we can collaborate on what you think you need the most help with. From there, I will create a plan that suits you and your learning goals. If something isn't working, we can try a new strategy. I am determined to help in any way that I can!
I have a lot of resources for subjects such as US History, Geography, European History, and many others.
I am a new tutor looking to build experience, so while I am willing to help anyone where I can, I think my lessons are better suited for middle and high school students.
