About Fathima

I am a University of Greenwich graduate and an experienced HR professional who has experienced the journey of being an international student in the UK myself. I understand that adapting to a new country, university system and way of communicating can sometimes be challenging.

My professional background in HR, alongside my experience supporting students as a school counsellor, has strengthened my communication, listening and mentoring skills.

I am passionate about helping international students feel more confident, informed and prepared as they navigate university life in the UK. My approach is friendly, practical and supportive, providing guidance from someone who understands the journey.

About the lesson

Moving to a new country for university can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. My sessions are designed to help international students settle into UK university life with greater confidence.

I provide practical, friendly guidance on communicating with lecturers and classmates, expressing yourself confidently, preparing for presentations, understanding university expectations, managing your time and studies, and knowing what to look out for as you adjust to a new environment.

Sessions are personalised to your individual needs, giving you a supportive space to ask questions, build confidence and develop the skills you need to navigate university life more independently.
