About Amar
Hey, my name is A'mar and I am a 5th year medical student at Cardiff University. I was in your position a while back so I have plenty of experience in how to smash your exams and get good grades, but most importantly to learn how to enjoy the work you do.
I got 9A* and 2A at GCSE and 2A* and 1A at A-level, yep I was a bit of a nerd ahaha.
In my free time, I hanging out with friends as well as doing rowing, boxing, and going to the gym.
I look forward to meeting you and becoming your mentor, helping you with your studies, and any other non-academic questions you may have.

I am a believer that the best way to learn is through making mistakes, and the best way to test understanding is by checking whether the person you are teaching is able to explain a concept in an easy way.
I will ensure in my lesson that a plan has been set beforehand, ask the student to explain a concept we are trying to learn, and use my knowledge and expertise to help guide them in adopting a problem-solving approach.
I will also put an emphasis on using past papers and previously set related questions to ensure understanding.
A lesson would not be longer than 50 minutes as attention and concentration will start to decrease after that.
I am keen on taking on-board GCSE students of any ability.
I have achieved 9A* and 2A at GCSE including an A* in maths and chemistry as well as 2A* and 1A at a level with an A* in Chemistry.
I look forward to being your mentor.
