About Masha
Hi! My name is Masha, and I am a high school student with a 4.0 GPA who is passionate about mathematics and helping others learn.
I completed Grade 12 Advanced Functions while still in Grade 11 and earned a final grade of 98%. My strong academic background allows me to confidently tutor mathematics from elementary school through high school, adapting lessons to each student's needs and learning style.
Beyond academics, I have experience coaching youth sports, mentoring younger students, and providing one-on-one math tutoring. Through tutoring, I have helped students better understand difficult concepts, improve their confidence, and achieve stronger results in class.
I enjoy teaching because I love seeing students reach that moment when a concept finally clicks. I believe every student can succeed in math when lessons are adapted to their learning style and explained with patience and encouragement.

My teaching approach focuses on understanding rather than memorization. I begin by identifying what a student already knows and where they are struggling, then I break down concepts into simple, manageable steps.
During lessons, I encourage students to ask questions freely and work through problems together. I adapt my explanations to each student's learning style, using examples, visual explanations, and practice questions to strengthen understanding.
I have experience tutoring high school students both in person and online. Students I have worked with have reported increased confidence and improved performance after our sessions because they were able to understand the material in a way that made sense to them.
Lessons can focus on homework support, test preparation, review of classroom material, or enrichment for students who want an additional challenge. I strive to create a supportive and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them.
Online and in-person lessons are both available.
