About Harun

I have a passion for helping students understand challenging concepts and reach their full potential. Having achieved a grade 9 in GCSE Maths and grade 9s in GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics, alongside being predicted A*A*A in my A Levels, I understand the skills and techniques needed to succeed in exams.

I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each individual. My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence in their abilities.

Alongside my academic experience, I have supported younger students through school volunteering, including helping pupils with SATs preparation. This has developed my ability to explain ideas clearly, be patient, and encourage students to improve.

Whether a student is looking to strengthen their foundations, prepare for exams, or push towards higher grades, I focus on making lessons engaging, structured, and tailored to their goals.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring focuses on building confidence, developing a clear understanding of concepts, and improving exam technique. I believe students learn best when they understand the reasoning behind a topic rather than simply memorising methods.

I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual needs and goals, using clear explanations, worked examples, guided questions, and exam-style practice to strengthen understanding and problem-solving skills.

A typical lesson will involve reviewing previous learning, introducing new concepts, applying knowledge through practice questions, and addressing any areas where the student needs extra support.

My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and becoming more confident and independent learners.
