About Metabha

I have over two years of experience doing private tutoring and even more informal experience freely mentoring and assisting students during high school and university. This encompasses indivdual students as well as small groups of students at once.
My past experience has allowed me improve my own learning and teaching as well as gain satisfaction from seeing students improve.

About the lesson

Hi! My name is Metabha and I am a QASMT Graduate currently studying a Bachelor of Advanced Finance & Economics (Honours) at UQ with a current average grade of High Distinction. I am looking to offer to tutor for Primary and High School students in Physics and Computer Science (both subjects I received 7/7 GPA in) as well as Mathematics where I received a high 7 grade (96%).

My main belief is that a good tutor/teacher should be willing to constantly adapt to what their student needs. I put a lot of effort into getting to know each individual student and understanding how they learn so I can best gear my teaching styles to suit their growing needs.

Instead of using a set lesson structure, I alter each lesson depending on how the student is progressing in their understanding. So, I accordingly allocate time periods for teaching, discussing, clarification/questioning & testing their understanding. These critical interactions with the student will allow me to grow their knowledge and skills and hopefully ensure measurable improvements for them within the subject.
