About William
I am an English literature student at the University of Exeter, who has also studied History of Art. I have only received firsts during my time at university, and have experience tutoring GCSE level English literature and language. I also attained 100% in A2 English Literature for both coursework and the exams, and still have my materials, so I feel entirely capable of tutoring that level as well.

I base my classes on skills initially rather than simply regurgitating facts. Usually, the first session, depending on the requests of the client, is spent performing close-readings of several poems I have selected. This helps the student develop their own intuition and learn the key skills for close-reading. During that session, I will assess the strengths and weaknesses of the student and adapt my teaching from that point onward to suit their needs.
