About Daniel

Learning didn’t always come easily to me. Throughout high school and university, I struggled at times with motivation, study techniques, time management, and the challenging math and physics concepts within my engineering degree. Because of this, I understand how frustrating it can feel when things just aren’t clicking. Over time, through trial and error, I developed strategies that helped me overcome these challenges and ultimately graduate with a Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering (Honors) with a High Distinction average.

These experiences shape how I tutor. I don’t just focus on memorizing content, I focus on helping students understand how to learn effectively, build confidence, and develop study habits that last beyond a single subject or exam.

I have experience teaching students of all ages and abilities in one-on-one, small group, and classroom settings. My background includes tutoring math, science, English as an Additional Language (EAL), and sports coaching, which has taught me how to adapt my approach to different learners and goals.

My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving at their own pace. Whether it’s improving grades, preparing for VCE exams, or building confidence, I aim to help students reach their full potential.

From my experience, academic success is less about natural ability and more about finding the right approach for you, and with my support that's what I aim to help you find!

About the lesson

I offer personalized Math (both Specialist and Methods for VCE), Physics and Biology tutoring for students from primary school through to VCE.

Every lesson is tailored to the student's individual needs, learning style, and goals. Whether you're looking to catch up, build confidence, prepare for exams, or achieve top results, lessons are designed to help you make steady and measurable progress.

**Lessons can include:**

* Building confidence and strengthening foundational skills
* Homework and assignment support
* Test and exam preparation
* VCE coursework, exam techniques and practice exam marking
* Effective study strategies and learning habits

My teaching approach focuses on understanding concepts rather than memorizing formulas or procedures. I break complex topics into simple, manageable steps and adapt explanations until they make sense.

For younger students, lessons are interactive and engaging, using discussion, visual explanations, and guided problem-solving to keep learning enjoyable. For secondary and VCE students, lessons become more structured and targeted, with a focus on mastering difficult concepts, improving exam performance, and achieving academic goals.

Above all, I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing confidence in their abilities.
