About Uistean

I have been learning classical, pop, and modern piano music for over 10 years and have won awards at local, statewide, and international competitions, such as the Durham Music Teachers' Association competitions, the YAA (Young Artist Auditions) competition, and the Settenote Online Competition. I have also taught other students in the past, and they have continued to excel over the years!

About the lesson

I always start with a beginners piano book or some guided instruction for beginners. After the student develops basic piano skills, I encourage them to play simple versions of their favorite songs, where we learn how to convey emotion and messages through music. I will also guide the student through basic music theory to further their ability to read and fully comprehend music.
