About Layla
I am a high school English Language Arts teacher with four years of experience in education. I have taught ACT Prep, Creative Writing, English 9–12, and Concurrent Credit Technical Communications.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in English and Creative Writing, a master’s degree in Teaching, and was recently accepted into a doctoral program in English Pedagogy with a writing specialization. I am passionate about helping students build confidence and improve their reading and writing skills.

I take a hands-on approach to tutoring because I believe students learn best by doing. My lessons focus on active practice, discussion, and personalized support based on each student’s needs and learning style.
What sets me apart is my real classroom and writing experience. I have four years of experience in education, currently teach high school ELA, and am a published author. I also hold a master’s degree and was recently accepted into a doctoral program.
I tutor students in English Language Arts across all grade levels, with my strongest areas being academic writing and creative writing.
