About Jouogo-Marianne
I am a French speaker from a Cameroonian family, currently a high school student in Ottawa. Passionate about the French language, I achieve excellent grades in this subject and stand out for my rigor, curiosity, and sense of written and oral expression.
For several years, I have developed practical experience in tutoring, helping my classmates improve their understanding of French, strengthen their grammatical foundations, and make progress in their schoolwork. This experience has allowed me to develop a patient, structured, and caring approach, adapted to the pace and needs of each student.
My goal is to provide serious, motivating, and accessible support so that each student can gain confidence and achieve their goals.

My teaching style is based on clarity, interaction, and precise error correction. I help students progress by identifying where mistakes come from, explaining why they happen, and guiding them toward accurate, confident solutions.
I rely on:
Error analysis — spotting weaknesses and turning them into strengths.
Step‑by‑step explanations — moving from simple to complex without overwhelming the student.
Guided practice — solving problems together before moving to independence.
Active recall — strengthening memory through short, targeted reviews.
Jouogo — my playful micro‑game technique that boosts engagement and helps students remember concepts effortlessly.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Every lesson is adapted to the student’s level, whether beginner, intermediate, or advanced. The structure usually follows this flow:
Quick assessment
We check the student’s current understanding and identify immediate challenges.
Targeted explanation
I explain the topic using examples that match the student’s level.
Mistake correction
We analyze errors together, understand their causes, and learn how to avoid them.
Personalized practice
Exercises adapted to the student’s needs, with real‑time feedback.
Jouogo reinforcement
A short, fun learning game to consolidate the lesson.
