About Eliana
I have been writing my whole life; creative writing to be specific. I always enjoyed writing short stories for fun and if a creative writing assignment ever came up I was thrilled. If that doesn't solidify my nerdy habit, I've also been writing a novel for the past couple of years. I've been in honors classes for English and my elective that I took three out of the four years of high school was at least 80% writing. I've been a follower and I've been a leader many times for sports, electives, group projects, and other team-centric ways. I would help out my younger neighbor with her homework as well as some of my closest friends. I'm an easy person to talk to and enjoy a good conversation just as much as comfortable silence. I will always be ready to listen, to talk, to crack a bad joke here and there, and be the best version of myself I can be.

As someone who was too intimidated and shy to ever ask for help from a tutor, I understand many people's hesitancy. I know it can be especially weird or embarrassing for kids to get tutored by an adult much older than them. I hope since I'm fresh out of high school I can connect with my students easier, understand and adapt to all sorts of unique personality traits, and be less intimidating. My goal, other than to tutor, is absolutely to make my students feel comfortable.
A typical session would include figuring out where you're struggling and trying some different exercises to help improve your skills. We can go over any schoolwork that pertains to English and work through it together as well as have small "assignments" to complete by the next session. Again, my goal is to make you comfortable, so if things get overwhelming I'm more than happy to shift around my methods in order to help you learn best.
