About Agastya
I am Agastya, a high school student with straight A's and over a year of tutoring experience. I tutor SAT Math and Reading through School House, where I have helped several students raise their scores, and elementary/middle school math through Learn To Be. I focus on making lessons engaging and tailored to how each student learns, so they actually understand the material. I focus on understanding over memorization, breaking concepts into clear steps and checking comprehension before moving on. For SAT prep, I combine content review with strategy. For math fundamentals, I make sure each concept is solid before building on it.
A typical lesson plan starts with a quick review and any questions from last time, then work through new material together before the student practices independently while I help as needed. SAT sessions often include timed practice followed by a review of mistakes. Each session ends with a clear focus area for next time.
I have maintained A's throughout high school, so I teach from real experience, not just a textbook. Through School House, I have helped multiple students raise their SAT scores and I keep lessons interactive rather than passive.
The lessons are for elementary and middle school students building math fundamentals, and high schoolers preparing for the SAT in Math and Reading to score higher.
