About Zion
I’m a high school senior with a strong passion for Algebra and helping others succeed in math. With experience tutoring peers, I’ve developed a patient and clear teaching style that makes complex concepts easier to understand. My goal is to build confidence in students by breaking down problems step by step and ensuring they grasp the "why" behind each solution. I understand the challenges of learning math in a fast-paced classroom, so I personalize my approach to fit each student’s needs. My tutoring approach focuses on breaking down Algebra concepts clearly, step-by-step, to ensure true understanding. I explain key formulas, provide real-life applications, and reinforce learning with structured practice problems. Each session ends with a short quiz to check progress and build confidence.
A typical lesson starts with a review of prior material, followed by a breakdown of new concepts using easy-to-follow explanations and examples. We then go through practice problems together before students try some independently. The session wraps up with a quick assessment to reinforce learning.
What sets me apart is that, as a high school student, I understand the frustration of teachers moving too fast or not explaining things in a way that makes sense. My tutoring is personalized, ensuring enough time to adapt my teaching style to how you learn best.
My lessons are for students in any grade studying Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, or Pre-Calculus who need extra support with homework, test prep, or challenging topics.
