About Amanda
Hello! My name is Amanda, and I am an educational professional with extensive experience supporting students in academic, professional, and personal development settings.
I hold a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership, as well as graduate and undergraduate degrees in the sciences. Throughout my career, I have worked in higher education, student advising, academic support, financial aid counseling, and international education. I have helped students from diverse backgrounds navigate university systems, develop communication skills, and achieve their educational goals.
My teaching style is supportive, patient, and goal-oriented. I believe that learning English should be practical, engaging, and tailored to each student's needs. Whether you are looking to improve your conversational English, strengthen your academic writing, prepare for university studies, or develop professional communication skills, I will create lessons that align with your objectives.
I particularly enjoy working with adult learners, university students, international students, and professionals who want to build confidence using English in real-world situations. My experience advising and mentoring students allows me to provide not only language instruction but also guidance on academic and professional communication in North American educational and workplace environments.
I understand that learning a language can be challenging, and I strive to create a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating progress. My goal is to help every student become a more confident and effective communicator.
