About Aran
I originally read MEng Systems Engineering at University of Warwick, which was a combination of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Engineering. I taught myself software engineering to a very high standard such that I could work in high profile roles and organisations. I have worked as a software engineer in industry for over 9 years now and am a Oracle Java 8 Certified Professional.
Being self taught means I can completely empathise with the student. I am able to breakdown a hard concept into bitsize pieces and provide analogies that makes learning fun and efficient at the same time. Recently I have been awarded a fully funded PhD Computer Science program from the University of Southampton, which I will be starting on this year. This research is in relation to a new programming system I have pioneered.

I am able to fully customize my teaching to meet the needs of my students. Every student has a unique style of learning, I believe its best to work in harmony with their style and to guide them through their progression. I will use a combination of presentations, worked examples, practical exercises, free flowing discussions and of course fun.
