About Leon
I am a highly experienced Physics/science teacher with more than 20 years in the classroom. I have been the HOD of the Science Department in a Lambeth school for over 8 years now. Last year, 100% of my physics students above grade 5 and 46% of them achieved above grade 7. My most recent A-level class achieved have 100 % A-C.

Currently, I am the Head of Science at a school in South London. Last year, 100% of my GCSE physics students achieved grade 5s or above and 60 % achieved above grade 7 at the AQA GCSE physics examinations. Also, my A -level physics students are highly successful; 100 % of my last cohort achieved A-C grades.
I plan my lessons carefully, so that complex concepts are broken down in manageable steps for my students. I use a variety of resources, such , as work sheets and examination papers to challenge, support and check the understanding of my students.
I create a detailed action plan for each student based on their needs and style of learning. The plans are to improve communication between are parties involved and for the students to understand how well they are performing in the subject and what needs to be done to improve. The educational plans are also accessible to parents via google documents, so that parents can check their progress.
