About Neil
I am a highly successful retired math teacher of more than 48 years.
Since I retired, I have continued to teach both Algebra Two and Pre-Calc/Trig and have continued to tutor all high school subjects other than Calculus and Statistics.
I was Teacher of the Year at Monarch HS and was Broward County HS Math Teacher of the Year. During my last year of teaching at Palm Beach Central HS, I scored a perfect score in my evaluation. I was also a recipient of the "Best and Brightest" Teacher Award for two successive years!
Most importantly, I know my stuff and I am exceptional in getting across what I know to others!

I love teaching/tutoring and I am enthusiastic, passionate, motivational - and all of that is highly contagious. As my title suggests, I teach in such a way that my students "live it, feel it, breathe it" - and I minimize memorization and maximize understanding! My students not only know the "how", but they know the "why" - as I thoroughly explain/rationalize/derive every possible concept/property/theorem! During the tutoring session, students take an active role in their learning process - as they are constantly engaged/participating! My method is such: I Illustrate/explain, followed by students talking me through the process, followed by students showing what they got on their own, followed by more practice - if need be. My students not only thoroughly enjoy the time spent during each tutoring session, but they can't wait to come back for more! I tutor all high school subjects, except for Calculus and Statistics. I love to tutor/teach all of those subjects that I alluded to, but my two favorites are Algebra Two and Pre-Calculus/Trig - and I am also highly experienced with teaching them from a TI-84 Plus CE approach!
