About Zack

I am an incoming student at Northeastern University with a strong academic background and a passion for learning and helping others succeed. Throughout high school, I challenged myself by taking 13 Advanced Placement (AP) courses and earned strong scores on all of them. While I enjoy learning across many subjects, my greatest strengths are in English and history, where I excel at critical thinking, writing, reading comprehension, and analyzing complex ideas.

Outside the classroom, music has been a major part of my life. I play four instruments—guitar, baritone, trumpet, and bass—and have spent years developing my skills through both individual practice and group performances. Music has taught me discipline, creativity, and the importance of teamwork.

I also have a deep love for animals and enjoy spending time with them whenever I can. Working with children is another passion of mine, and I find it rewarding to help young people learn, grow, and gain confidence in their abilities. Whether through tutoring, coaching, or mentoring, I enjoy creating positive and supportive environments where others can succeed.

In my free time, I enjoy playing and watching soccer. The sport has taught me valuable lessons about perseverance, leadership, and collaboration. Overall, I am a dedicated, hardworking, and well-rounded individual who values education, personal growth, and making a positive impact on the people around me.

About the lesson

As a recent high school graduate with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students succeed, I offer personalized tutoring in writing, English, grammar, spelling, and history for elementary, and middle school students. My goal is to help students build confidence in their abilities while developing the skills they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond.

In writing and English, I work with students on everything from sentence structure and paragraph development to essay organization and creative writing. I help students learn how to clearly express their ideas, strengthen their vocabulary, and improve their overall communication skills. Whether a student is struggling with a school assignment or looking to become a stronger writer, I provide patient guidance tailored to their individual needs.

For grammar and spelling, I focus on helping students understand the rules of the English language rather than simply memorizing corrections. Through practice exercises, proofreading activities, and personalized feedback, students learn to recognize common mistakes and develop stronger editing skills. These lessons help improve both academic performance and everyday communication.

In history, I help students better understand important events, people, and themes while developing effective study habits. Rather than relying solely on memorization, I encourage students to make connections between historical events and understand the broader context behind them. I can assist with homework, test preparation, research projects, and essay assignments.

As someone who recently completed high school, I understand the challenges students face and can relate to their learning experiences. My approach is supportive, encouraging, and focused on helping each student reach their full potential. Whether a student needs help catching up, staying on track, or excelling in a subject, I am committed to providing a positive and productive learning environment.
