About Michael
I am a 17 year old highschool graduate with a love for Chess, Mathematics and Computer Science among other things. I have taken many tutoring opportunities in the past and I love the process of teaching and allowing students to understand something they previously didn't in a field which I have passion for. Having just finished highschool, I understand and can relate to many problems students are having in mathematics, as I have likely already helped a classmate understand the same.

My approach to tutoring involves building an understanding and a solid foundation of the topic and ensuring the student not only knows the theory, but is also proficient at applying their knowledge in scenarios outside of immediate tasks. I am also a huge fan of using analogies and examples, allowing the topic to be understood from a practical and more understandable to the student manner.
I have coached chess for over 2 years at my school, have also participated in peer tutoring, and have personally taught some of my friends aspects of mathematics, chess, and java programming. I have also completed the highest level of IB Mathematics available at my school (IB AAHL Math) and have achieved mostly 7s (equivalent to A+) throughout my senior years and have been predicted a 7 for my final result (Results still pending).
I tutor solely online and prefer 1 hour lessons, but I am down to arrange any time length. Mostly targeted at primary school and junior high school (Years 7-10) students, but I can also comfortably teach Math Methods (or equivalent) for seniors of high school.
