About Santo
As a junior who has tutored peers for two years through high school and prior, I understand the challenges of learning complex math, science and getting the guidance needed to succeed. Students can feel confident working with me because, as a fellow high school student, I recently grasped these concepts and aim to break them down clearly, offer patient coaching, and empower others to find joy in learning as I have.

As a tutor, I take an empathetic, hands-on approach. My lessons start with assessing students' prior knowledge and understanding of prerequisite concepts. I ask questions to identify any topics they seem less comfortable with or are still confused about. Then I explain current concepts visually and through real-world examples before assigning practice problems. For each topic, I create scaffolded lesson plans starting with intuitive introductions followed by example-driven explanations and finally cooperative problem-solving sessions. What sets me apart is my focus on creating an encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions without judgment. I have two years experience tutoring peers in math up through Precalculus as well as chemistry and physics (for high school students, as I am one myself).
