Suchismita Ma’am was my Indian music teacher throughout middle and high school, and it was through her that I was first introduced to Hindustani classical music. She played a pivotal role in shaping our school’s musical culture—organizing performances not only for school events but also for inter-school and district-level competitions.

She also led and conducted choir compositions that beautifully integrated vocal music with instruments such as the tabla, Indian flute, and violin, creating rich and memorable performances.

On a personal level, I am deeply grateful for her mentorship. Her constant encouragement and supportive nature gave me the confidence to perform in public, which had a lasting impact on me. Today, as a PhD student in Molecular Biology in Germany, I still carry that confidence with me and continue to enjoy singing and occasionally performing.

I highly recommend her to anyone looking to learn music. Her dedication, expertise, and genuine care for her students make her an exceptional teacher. I truly hope she continues to inspire many more students in their musical journeys.
